AIMS Cyberjaya Block 3
Status: Completed & Operational | Location: Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Project Overview
The AIMS Cyberjaya Block 3 facility, located in Malaysia's Multimedia Super Corridor, is more than just a data center; it is a vital digital interconnection hub that solidifies Malaysia’s growing status as a key destination for Southeast Asian digital infrastructure. Delivered by AIMS Data Centre, one of the region's leading operators, Block 3 was a crucial expansion that was completed ahead of schedule in Q3 2025, driven by surging demand from international hyperscalers and cloud providers for both colocation and high-bandwidth connectivity.
The AIMS Cyberjaya campus, known as "Magic Box," is designed to be highly reliable, achieving Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility from the Uptime Institute. Its infrastructure includes 2N UPS redundancy and highly redundant cooling systems (N+1 Chiller Plant, N+2 CRAH), capable of scaling up to a total of 50 MW for the Cyberjaya campus. This robust capacity is designed to handle increasing rack power density driven by modern AI and cloud workloads.
The project's most significant strength lies in its connectivity. AIMS Cyberjaya is the anchor site for the Malaysia Internet Exchange (MyIX), making it the primary hub where all domestic and international telecommunication carriers and content networks connect and exchange traffic in Malaysia. This carrier-neutral status offers customers direct, low-latency access to an extensive ecosystem of over 88 peers, as well as direct on-ramps to major cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. In line with global trends, AIMS has prioritized sustainability, securing a Green Building Index (GBI) certification for the facility and utilizing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, ensuring both economic growth and responsible operations.
