AirTrunk Maharashtra Campus: 3GW Western India AI Hub
Status: Pre-construction / Site Engineering (Announced July 2026) | Location: Strategic Hyperscale Industrial Corridor, Maharashtra, India
Project Overview
A monumental $21 billion (approximately ₹1.75 lakh crore) ultra-scale digital infrastructure initiative marks Blackstone-backed AirTrunk's largest single-market commitment globally, underscoring the accelerating demand for AI-ready digital infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. Purpose-built to serve as the foundational computing platform for global hyperscalers, neocloud operators, and large-scale enterprise cloud deployments, the gigawatt-scale campus is engineered to support next-generation AI training clusters, liquid-cooled GPU environments, and massive public cloud ecosystems. Designed for high-density computing, the development will incorporate advanced liquid cooling, direct-to-chip thermal management, resilient power infrastructure, and high-capacity network connectivity to efficiently operate AI workloads requiring hundreds of megawatts of continuous power. The campus is expected to provide the scalability needed for large language models (LLMs), generative AI, scientific computing, and high-performance computing (HPC) applications while integrating renewable energy and sustainability initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint. Beyond delivering world-class digital infrastructure, the investment is expected to strengthen the APAC region's position as a leading global hub for artificial intelligence and cloud computing by attracting major technology companies, hyperscale cloud providers, and AI innovators seeking reliable, large-scale compute capacity. As demand for AI infrastructure continues to surge, this landmark project reinforces AirTrunk's long-term strategy of building future-ready, hyperscale data center campuses capable of powering the next generation of intelligent digital services and supporting the region's rapidly expanding digital economy.
