Project Overview

CloudHQ MSP1 is a planned multi-building hyperscale data center campus located on Schoolmaster Drive in Chaska, Minnesota, designed to expand large-scale digital infrastructure capacity across the Greater Twin Cities market. The campus is master-planned to support up to 200 MW of total utility capacity and approximately 140 MW of critical IT load, positioning the development for hyperscale cloud platforms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other compute-intensive applications. Its multi-building configuration provides a scalable framework for phased development, allowing infrastructure capacity to expand in line with customer requirements and long-term demand for high-density computing. Designed according to CloudHQ’s global hyperscale architecture standards, the campus incorporates infrastructure capable of supporting advanced high-density liquid cooling configurations exceeding 100 kW per rack. This capability addresses the power and thermal requirements of AI and machine learning workloads, where conventional data center cooling architectures can face limitations as rack power densities increase. The project’s location in Chaska provides access to the broader Minneapolis-St. Paul technology and enterprise ecosystem while supporting connectivity to regional cloud and digital infrastructure networks. The campus also benefits from the area’s established utility power framework and access to high-density fiber corridors, supporting reliable connectivity for cloud and enterprise applications. Its cooling environment further supports efficient operation of high-density computing infrastructure. With its combination of substantial utility capacity, large critical IT load, scalable multi-building design, liquid cooling readiness, and regional connectivity, CloudHQ MSP1 is being developed as a hyperscale infrastructure platform capable of supporting the evolving requirements of cloud services and AI-driven computing in Minnesota.
