Project Overview

The Colt Berlin Data Center campus is a high-density enterprise colocation and cloud interconnection facility serving the growing digital infrastructure requirements of the Berlin metropolitan area. Operated by Colt Data Centre Services, the campus provides more than 3,600 m² of technical whitespace and approximately 5.28 MVA of utility power capacity, enabling customers to deploy enterprise IT environments, cloud infrastructure, network services, and other mission-critical workloads. Designed to support demanding availability requirements, the facility is built to Tier III standards and incorporates resilient electrical infrastructure, including N+N uninterruptible power supply systems and N+1 generator redundancy. This configuration provides multiple layers of backup capacity and helps maintain continuous operations during planned maintenance or unexpected equipment failures. The facility also functions as a carrier-neutral connectivity hub, giving customers access to multiple telecommunications and network providers while supporting flexible interconnection strategies. Its direct connectivity to BCIX, the Berlin Commercial Internet Exchange, strengthens its role within the city’s digital ecosystem by enabling efficient network peering and low-latency access to regional traffic. In addition, connections to major global cloud gateways allow enterprises to integrate their colocation environments with leading cloud platforms and distributed digital services.
