The Crusoe Alsike Energy Park AI Data Center is a high-density power-to-compute AI infrastructure development located in Alsike, Brazeau County, Alberta, Canada. Jointly developed by Crusoe Energy Systems through Crusoe Cloud and KALiNA Distributed Power (KDP), the project occupies a 160-acre industrial site situated along Highway 39 (AB-39). The facility is designed around a co-located, behind-the-fence power delivery architecture that integrates dedicated electricity generation directly with advanced data center infrastructure, creating a highly controlled energy environment for demanding artificial intelligence workloads. Power generation is planned through KALiNA’s 170 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant, incorporating direct Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) technology intended to significantly reduce emissions associated with electricity generation. The project has an initial load interconnection filing target of 280 MW under the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO Project P3153), reflecting the substantial energy requirements of its planned computing infrastructure. The dedicated power model is intended to provide high-reliability electricity for high-density AI model training, inferencing, and other compute-intensive applications that require continuous and scalable power availability. Its location in Alberta also provides access to the province’s established energy infrastructure, industrial capabilities, transportation networks, and growing digital infrastructure ecosystem. By combining power generation, carbon management, and AI computing within a single industrial campus, the development represents an emerging approach to addressing the energy challenges associated with next-generation data centers.
