The station serves as the northern terminus of the approximately 4,500-kilometer Carnival Submarine Network-1 (CSN-1) cable system, positioning Bonita Springs as an important landing point for international data traffic between the United States and countries across Central and South America. The CSN-1 system connects the Florida Gulf Coast with landing points in Panama, Colombia, and Ecuador, creating a dedicated subsea pathway for high-capacity telecommunications traffic.
