Project Overview
Digital Edge CGK Campus is a massive $4.5 billion investment announced on January 28, 2026, aimed at bridging the infrastructure gap in Indonesia’s rapidly expanding digital economy. Located in the GIIC Industrial Estate in Bekasi roughly 40km from Jakarta the campus is engineered specifically for next-generation AI and hyperscale workloads.
The project is designed with a massive 500 MW initial IT capacity, with a long-term roadmap to scale up to 1 GW, making it one of the largest single-site data center developments in the Southern Hemisphere. The facility addresses the critical global shortage of AI-ready compute by offering high-density power configurations and advanced thermal management.
A key differentiator for this project is its connectivity and resilience. Utilizing the fiber assets of Indonet (a Digital Edge subsidiary), the campus features 100% underground fiber routes, significantly reducing the risk of outages compared to traditional overhead deployments. This ensures high-availability, low-latency access to Jakarta’s primary business districts.
Sustainability is a core pillar of the CGK Campus. It targets a market-leading PUE of 1.25 through a combination of direct-to-chip liquid cooling and recycled water systems. By integrating renewable energy options, Digital Edge aims to set a new standard for responsible hyperscale development in Asia-Pacific, supporting both global cloud providers and local sovereign AI initiatives.
