Echelon DUB20 Arklow Data Center Campus: 100MW Hyperscale Infrastructure Hub Ireland

Status: Under Construction / Phased Grid Integration & Site Development   |   Location: Avoca River Park / Vale Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Ireland

Project Overview

The Echelon DUB20 Arklow Data Center Campus is a flagship 100 MW hyperscale digital infrastructure development located on a 35-acre site in Arklow, County Wicklow, strategically positioned to expand Ireland’s data centre capacity beyond the traditional Dublin metropolitan region. Designed to alleviate grid constraints in central Dublin while supporting the next generation of artificial intelligence (AI), hyperscale cloud platforms, and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, the campus delivers scalable, high-density compute infrastructure for global cloud providers, enterprise customers, and AI innovators. A defining feature of the development is its dedicated high-voltage substation integration, providing resilient and efficient power delivery while enhancing long-term grid stability. The campus is engineered with advanced cooling architectures capable of supporting high-density GPU deployments, including liquid cooling technologies that maximise thermal efficiency and operational performance for AI-driven applications. To further strengthen energy resilience, DUB20 incorporates flexible off-grid and microgrid energy solutions, enabling greater power reliability, sustainability, and business continuity during periods of grid constraint or peak demand. The carrier-neutral campus also offers diverse fibre connectivity, allowing customers to access multiple telecommunications providers and cloud ecosystems with low-latency network performance. Sustainability remains a core design principle, with energy-efficient systems, intelligent infrastructure management, and future-ready expansion capabilities that minimise environmental impact. As one of Ireland’s most significant hyperscale developments, the DUB20 Arklow Campus reinforces the country’s position as a leading European digital infrastructure hub while providing secure, scalable, and resilient capacity to support long-term AI, cloud, and enterprise digital transformation.
