Project Overview

EdgeConneX Minneapolis (EDCMSP01) is an operational edge data center facility located at 6875 Shady Oak Road in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, providing distributed digital infrastructure for enterprises, content providers, cloud platforms, and network service providers across the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. The facility spans approximately 26,000 square feet and includes 10,000 square feet of raised floor whitespace dedicated to IT deployments, allowing customers to install servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and other mission-critical infrastructure in a controlled data center environment. Purpose-built for edge computing requirements, EDCMSP01 supports ultra-low-latency content distribution, cloud access, network edge colocation, and compute workloads that benefit from proximity to regional users and network infrastructure. The facility incorporates N+1 power redundancy to provide additional electrical capacity and support continuity during equipment maintenance or component failures, while N+1 cooling redundancy provides additional thermal management capacity for deployed IT systems. High-density rack configurations supporting more than 20 kW per cabinet enable the facility to accommodate demanding enterprise and service provider workloads with higher power requirements than conventional rack deployments. Connectivity is another core component of the facility, with direct access to local fiber carriers and cloud providers supporting connections between customer infrastructure, telecommunications networks, and public or private cloud environments. This network-oriented architecture allows enterprises and service providers to position compute and content closer to end users while maintaining access to broader regional and cloud ecosystems. Its Eden Prairie location places EDCMSP01 within an established suburban technology corridor with connectivity to the wider Twin Cities market.
