Project Overview
Epoch Digital ETW1 is a purpose-built, 10-story hyperscale data center facility located on a 4,818-square-meter site in Taipei City’s Neihu District, one of Taiwan’s established technology and business hubs. Developed by Epoch Digital, an Asia-Pacific digital infrastructure platform backed by Actis, the facility provides approximately 27,451 square meters of gross floor space dedicated to high-density digital infrastructure and large-scale computing workloads. The purpose-built design is intended to accommodate the increasing infrastructure requirements of artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and other data-intensive applications used by global technology companies. Its vertical configuration enables the facility to maximize available land within Taipei’s constrained urban environment while providing multiple floors for data halls, electrical systems, mechanical infrastructure, networking equipment, and supporting operational areas. The facility’s positioning in Neihu provides access to Taipei’s established technology ecosystem, enterprise customer base, telecommunications networks, and skilled digital infrastructure workforce, supporting its role as a regional computing hub. ETW1 is designed to address workloads that require high computing density, reliable power infrastructure, robust cooling systems, and extensive network connectivity. These characteristics are particularly relevant to AI and machine learning applications, where accelerated computing hardware can generate significantly higher power and thermal requirements than conventional enterprise servers. The facility also supports cloud infrastructure requirements, enabling technology providers and enterprises to deploy scalable computing resources closer to major business and technology users in Taiwan.
