Project Overview

The Flexential Portland – Hillsboro 4 Data Center is an approximately 18 MW high-density edge and hyperscale colocation facility operated by Flexential at 4915 NE Starr Blvd in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA. Located directly adjacent to Flexential’s Hillsboro 3 facility within the company’s established Starr Boulevard campus, Hillsboro 4 expands Flexential’s data center capacity, network connectivity, and edge computing presence in Oregon’s renowned “Silicon Forest” technology corridor. The facility spans approximately 138,000 square feet and is designed to accommodate demanding workloads requiring high-density computing environments, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, accelerated computing, enterprise cloud platforms, and other data-intensive applications. Its high-density infrastructure is designed to support rack power requirements exceeding 80 kW per cabinet, enabling customers to deploy increasingly powerful computing systems and GPU-intensive environments. Hillsboro 4 also benefits from its integration with Flexential’s broader connectivity ecosystem, including the company’s high-capacity private network infrastructure and interconnection services associated with the Network Access Point (NAP) of the Northwest. This connectivity provides customers with efficient access to regional telecommunications networks, cloud service providers, enterprise networks, and long-distance fiber routes serving major markets throughout the Pacific Northwest. The facility’s strategic location within Hillsboro’s dense data center cluster also places customers close to other hyperscale and colocation campuses, creating opportunities for efficient interconnection and network diversification.
