Global Stack Daly City Cow Palace Edge Data Center

Status: Proposed / Land-Use Evaluation Phase   |   Location: 2600 Geneva Ave, Daly City, CA 94014, United States

Project Overview

The Global Stack Daly Data Center is a proposed 10 MW edge computing digital infrastructure facility being pitched by Global Stack USA (Global Stack LLC) at the historic Cow Palace arena campus in Daly City, California, within the San Francisco Bay Area. Located at 2600 Geneva Avenue, the project forms part of a broader statewide proposal to lease land at state fairgrounds for the development of decentralized edge data centers integrated with multi-level parking structures and micro-mobility and eVTOL landing zones. The proposed facility is intended to support the growing demand for localized computing capacity, enabling data processing closer to end users and businesses while potentially reducing latency for applications that require rapid data exchange. Its strategic location within the densely populated San Francisco Bay Area places the project near major technology companies, enterprise customers, telecommunications networks, transportation infrastructure, and established digital connectivity. Unlike traditional hyperscale developments that typically occupy large greenfield sites, the Global Stack concept focuses on deploying smaller edge facilities within existing urban and public infrastructure environments. The proposed Daly City campus could therefore provide a distributed computing platform capable of supporting artificial intelligence, cloud applications, telecommunications, content delivery, smart-city technologies, and other latency-sensitive workloads. The integration of data center infrastructure with parking facilities and emerging electric mobility infrastructure further reflects an approach centered on maximizing the use of strategically located land. If developed, the project could contribute to the expansion of California’s edge computing ecosystem while demonstrating an alternative model for deploying digital infrastructure in high-demand metropolitan areas. The Global Stack Daly Data Center consequently represents a proposed convergence of computing, urban infrastructure, and next-generation mobility within the broader San Francisco Bay Area digital economy.
