Google LaGrange Project Pegasus Data Center Campus

Status: Under Construction   |   Location: 411 Pegasus Parkway, LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia 30240, USA

Project Overview

The Google LaGrange Data Center Campus, codenamed “Project Pegasus,” is an $8 billion digital infrastructure development planned across a 270-acre master-planned site at 411 Pegasus Parkway in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia. Located approximately 70 miles southwest of Atlanta along the Interstate 85 corridor, the campus strengthens Georgia’s position as a strategic destination for hyperscale computing and advanced digital infrastructure. The development combines the redevelopment of existing industrial infrastructure with the construction of new multi-story data hall facilities designed to accommodate the growing computational requirements of artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, and global digital services. A key component is the 470,000-square-foot PRL2 expansion building, which forms part of the campus’s broader infrastructure footprint. The project’s substantial reported investment reflects the scale of infrastructure required to support increasingly complex computing workloads and expanding demand for digital services. Its focus on high-density artificial intelligence model training positions the campus to support resource-intensive applications, including the development and deployment of large language models, alongside enterprise computing and cloud-based workloads. The LaGrange location offers access to the wider Atlanta technology and connectivity ecosystem while benefiting from its position along a major interstate transportation corridor. Redeveloping existing industrial infrastructure alongside new construction also provides a framework for expanding the site’s data center capabilities. As AI adoption accelerates and organizations rely more heavily on cloud computing, facilities of this scale are becoming increasingly important to the digital infrastructure supporting businesses and consumers. Project Pegasus therefore represents a significant proposed addition to Georgia’s hyperscale data center landscape, with its planned campus development aimed at serving the computing demands of modern AI and cloud services.
