126MW Hyperscale Data Center Hillsboro NTT DATA Tech Campus

Status: Operational / Multi-Building Phased Expansion (HI1 Operational, HI2-HI3 Active)   |   Location: 4050 NE Evergreen Road, Hillsboro, OR 97124, USA

Project Overview

The GDC – Hillsboro Campus is a flagship hyperscale data center development operated by NTT DATA, Inc.’s Global Data Centers division at 4050 NE Evergreen Road in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA. Developed on a 47-acre site formerly occupied by the SolarWorld manufacturing facility, the campus is planned as a large-scale digital infrastructure park comprising five high-density data centers, identified as HI1 through HI5. Collectively, the planned facilities are designed to provide approximately 126 MW of critical IT capacity across roughly 1 million square feet of data center space, positioning the campus as a significant hyperscale and enterprise computing hub within the Pacific Northwest. Its location in Hillsboro’s established “Silicon Forest” technology corridor provides access to extensive fiber networks, telecommunications infrastructure, technology companies, cloud platforms, and other major data center operators. The campus also benefits from Oregon’s renewable energy resources and access to electricity supplied by Portland General Electric, supporting the region’s attractiveness for energy-intensive digital infrastructure. NTT DATA’s connectivity ecosystem further strengthens the site’s strategic importance, with network infrastructure designed to provide connections toward major regional markets and trans-Pacific routes through NTT’s Subsea Connect network. The planned campus is designed to accommodate demanding workloads including artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, enterprise cloud services, hyperscale applications, and data-intensive digital platforms. Its cooling strategy incorporates advanced fan-coil wall systems and closed-loop liquid-cooling technologies intended to support higher rack densities while improving thermal management and operational efficiency. Sustainability is also an important component of the development, with the campus associated with Cleaner Air Oregon environmental standards. As demand for AI infrastructure, cloud computing, and high-density digital services continues to accelerate, the GDC – Hillsboro Campus provides NTT DATA with a strategically positioned platform for expanding capacity in the Western United States while reinforcing Hillsboro’s role as one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading data center markets.
