Singtel DC Tuas
Status: Under Construction | Location: Tuas, Singapore
Project Overview
Singtel DC Tuas is a flagship project for Singtel's dedicated data center business, Nxera, marking the next generation of digital infrastructure in Singapore. Located in the Tuas industrial area, the eight-story facility is designed to address the region's escalating demand for highly dense, AI-ready compute capacity while strongly adhering to national sustainability goals. With a substantial IT load capacity of 58 MW, DC Tuas will become one of Singtel's largest single data center investments in Singapore.
The project distinguishes itself through its focus on high power density and hyper-connectivity. The facility is purpose-built to support next-generation workloads, incorporating cooling systems capable of handling rack densities of 30kW to 80kW per rack, making it ideal for the deployment of power-hungry AI and HPC clusters. This is achieved through highly efficient chilled water cooling and the integration of infrastructure ready for Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) systems. The facility has already achieved the Green Mark Platinum certification for its sustainable design and commitment to energy efficiency, targeting an extremely low PUE of below 1.25 at full load.
Perhaps the most unique and strategically valuable feature is its integration with an international submarine cable landing station. This integration means DC Tuas will offer unparalleled connectivity, providing customers with direct, low-latency access to international fiber networks. The development is being funded partly by a substantial S$643 Million Green Loan, underscoring the operator's commitment to net-zero goals. Expected to be operational in 2026, the DC Tuas project is critical to maintaining Singapore's position as a leading, sustainable, and hyper-connected global digital hub.
