SUNeVision MEGA Two HKG2 Data Center: High-Density Shatin Campus
Status: Operational / Active High-Density Expansion | Location: 8-12 Wong Chuk Yeung Street, Fo Tan, Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong
Project Overview
SUNeVision’s MEGA Two (HKG2) Campus in Fo Tan, Sha Tin, is a flagship high-density digital infrastructure facility that serves as one of Hong Kong’s primary colocation, cloud, and network connectivity hubs. Strategically located within the New Territories, the campus forms an integral part of SUNeVision’s renowned MEGA Campus ecosystem, providing enterprises, hyperscale cloud providers, financial institutions, telecommunications operators, and content providers with secure, scalable, and highly interconnected digital infrastructure. Spanning approximately 429,000 sq. ft. of gross floor area across a purpose-retrofitted facility, MEGA Two has been extensively upgraded to accommodate high-power-density deployments, supporting the growing demands of artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), cloud services, and mission-critical enterprise applications. The campus is engineered with resilient 2N redundant power distribution, redundant UPS systems, backup generation, and energy-efficient cooling technologies that ensure continuous availability for business-critical workloads. One of its key advantages is its direct dark-fibre interconnectivity with MEGA-i, Asia’s leading carrier-neutral connectivity hub, enabling customers to access hundreds of telecommunications carriers, internet service providers, cloud platforms, and internet exchanges through ultra-low-latency connections. This extensive network ecosystem also provides efficient gateways into mainland China and major international markets across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America, making the campus an ideal location for cross-border digital services and hybrid cloud deployments. Supported by comprehensive physical security, intelligent infrastructure management, and scalable expansion capabilities, MEGA Two reinforces Hong Kong’s position as one of Asia’s leading digital infrastructure gateways, delivering a secure, high-performance, and future-ready platform for cloud computing, AI innovation, enterprise digital transformation, and global network interconnection.
