XTX Markets is a UK-based algorithmic trading firm that uses machine learning and advanced computing to analyze financial markets and provide liquidity across asset classes. The company is investing more than €1 billion in a large-scale data center campus in Kajaani, Finland, to expand its computing capacity for AI research and trading algorithms. The first facility spans approximately 15,000 square metres and provides 22.5 MW of planned IT capacity. XTX has progressed to construction of its third data center at the site, with YIT serving as the construction partner. The campus is planned to accommodate multiple buildings supporting high-performance computing and machine learning workloads.
