SK Telecom Launches SK Hyper to Advance Long-Term 15 GW AI Data Center Strategy

Seoul, South Korea - July 24, 2026 - SK Telecom has launched SK Hyper, a dedicated artificial intelligence infrastructure company that will lead the development of next-generation AI data centers and related digital infrastructure, marking one of South Korea's most ambitious efforts to expand AI computing capacity.

The newly established company will focus on building an integrated AI infrastructure platform spanning high-density data centers, power infrastructure, GPU computing, and energy optimization. As part of its long-term strategy, SK Hyper aims to develop a pipeline of up to 15 GW of AI data center capacity in collaboration with strategic partners, reflecting the growing demand for large-scale computing infrastructure to support generative AI applications.
