Telxius Expands Caribbean Network Presence With New PoP at NAP Caribe Data Center

Madrid, Spain - July 22, 2026 - Telxius has expanded its digital infrastructure footprint in the Caribbean by launching a new Point of Presence (PoP) at the NAP Caribe data center in Santo Domingo, a move aimed at strengthening regional connectivity for cloud providers, enterprises, carriers, and data center operators. 

The new PoP extends Telxius' global fiber network into one of the Caribbean's leading carrier-neutral data center facilities, providing customers with direct access to the company's international transport, IP, security, and interconnection services. The expansion is expected to improve network performance and resiliency while supporting growing demand for cloud computing, AI workloads, and digital services across the region. 

Located in the Dominican Republic, NAP Caribe serves as a major interconnection hub for the Caribbean, hosting telecommunications operators, internet service providers, enterprises, and cloud platforms. By establishing infrastructure within the facility, Telxius is enabling customers to connect more efficiently to its global subsea and terrestrial network without relying on additional third-party connections.
