Adani-Google Vizag: $15B 1GW AI Data Center Hub India
Status: Groundbreaking / Land Handover (March 2026) | Location: Tarluwada, Visakhapatnam
Project Overview
Formally confirmed in late 2025 and seeing massive land-allotment increases as of March 2026, the Adani-Google IndiaAI Hub is a $15 billion (₹1.25 Lakh Crore) investment designed to be Google’s largest AI hub outside the United States. The project is spread across a massive 601.4-acre footprint in Andhra Pradesh, with Tarluwada serving as the principal 266-acre hub. This facility is unique because it integrates an "energy-to-compute" ecosystem; it will be powered entirely by renewable energy sourced from Adani's Khavda Renewable Park. The hub will house Google’s full AI stack, including proprietary TPU (Tensor Processing Unit) and GPU clusters for deep learning. Beyond compute, the site will serve as a new international subsea gateway, landing multiple high-capacity cables to provide route diversity from Mumbai and Chennai. This project is a cornerstone of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, expected to create tens of thousands of high-tech jobs and establish a "Sovereign AI" foundation for Indian startups and government services.
