Project Summary

Allentown Flex Center JG Petrucci 100MW Data Center Pennsylvania

Status: Proposed / Secured Planning Permission   |   Location: 1024 N Bradford Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania 18109, USA

Project Overview

The Allentown Flex Center is a planned 100 MW hyperscale-class data center at 1024 N. Bradford Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania, designed to provide substantial high-density computing capacity within the established Lehigh Valley digital infrastructure market. Developed by J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc., the project will occupy a 146,000-square-foot (13,565-square-meter) facility on a 13.6-acre industrial site, creating a dedicated platform for cloud computing, artificial intelligence and enterprise workloads. A major infrastructure advantage is the planned on-site dedicated electrical substation, which is intended to provide the high-capacity power delivery required for intensive computing operations while improving the site's ability to support large electrical loads. The proposed 100 MW capacity is particularly significant for AI and hyperscale applications, where dense GPU deployments can require substantially more power than conventional enterprise data center environments. The project also benefits from its position within the Lehigh Valley, an established regional infrastructure market with access to multiple fiber routes and telecommunications networks. This connectivity can support low-latency links between the facility, enterprise customers, cloud platforms and wider regional markets. The site's industrial setting also gives the project a redevelopment advantage, converting an existing industrial platform into purpose-built digital infrastructure rather than developing an entirely new greenfield site. The facility is being positioned to accommodate either a single large enterprise user or multiple colocation customers, providing flexibility in how the available capacity could ultimately be deployed. Its relatively compact 13.6-acre footprint, combined with dedicated electrical infrastructure, is suited to a high-density facility where power delivery is a central component of the development strategy. By combining 100 MW of planned capacity, a 146,000-square-foot building, dedicated substation infrastructure and access to established Lehigh Valley fiber networks, the Allentown Flex Center could become an important addition to Pennsylvania's growing data center market. The project demonstrates how existing industrial properties can be converted into high-capacity digital infrastructure serving the expanding requirements of AI, cloud and enterprise computing.
