AWS Project Eagle Building G Data Center Boling Texas Amazon Web Services

Status: Under Construction   |   Location: 230 Eaglewood Dr, Boling, TX 77420, United States

Project Overview

The AWS Project Eagle Building G facility, located at 230 Eaglewood Drive in Boling, Texas, represents a dedicated hyperscale data center building developed as part of Amazon Web Services’ expanding Texas digital infrastructure footprint. Designed to provide additional cloud availability capacity while supporting increasingly demanding artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and data-intensive workloads, the facility is described as providing 45 megawatts of total utility capacity and 36 megawatts of critical IT capacity. Electrical infrastructure is supported through high-voltage utility interconnections with regional electricity providers, complemented by modular static uninterruptible power supply systems configured in 2N redundant architectures. Emergency standby diesel generators provide additional resilience and are designed to maintain critical operations during utility interruptions or grid disturbances. To manage the elevated thermal requirements associated with high-density server racks and advanced hardware accelerators, Building G incorporates high-efficiency air-cooled free-cooling chiller systems alongside direct-to-chip liquid cooling loops. The cooling architecture is designed to improve thermal efficiency while reducing water consumption, making it suitable for dense AI computing environments and other high-performance workloads. As part of the broader AWS global infrastructure ecosystem, the Boling facility benefits from integration with regional telecommunications and cloud connectivity networks. Subterranean dark-fiber vault infrastructure provides pathways for low-latency connectivity to regional cloud exchanges, telecommunications networks, enterprise connectivity systems, and international subsea cable gateways. Its location in Texas also provides access to the state’s extensive energy and fiber infrastructure, supporting the continued expansion of hyperscale cloud capacity in the region. With resilient electrical systems, redundant backup infrastructure, advanced cooling technologies, and extensive network connectivity, AWS Project Eagle Building G is positioned to support the growing computational requirements of cloud services, artificial intelligence, and enterprise digital workloads within the Texas market.
