CloudHQ QRO2 Data Center Campus Galeras Querétaro Mexico

Status: Under Construction / Master Development   |   Location: Carretera Estatal No. 100, El Colorado-Higuerillas, 76295 Galeras, Querétaro, Mexico

Project Overview

The CloudHQ QRO2 hyperscale data center campus, located along Carretera Estatal No. 100 in Galeras, Querétaro, Mexico, represents a major expansion of CloudHQ’s digital infrastructure portfolio in Latin America. Designed to support rapidly growing cloud adoption, artificial intelligence workloads, high-performance computing, and enterprise digital services, the multi-building campus is master planned to provide up to 130 megawatts of gross utility capacity and approximately 100 megawatts of critical IT load. Its electrical infrastructure is centered on dual dedicated high-voltage substation interconnections with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) grid, providing resilient access to regional transmission infrastructure. Power continuity is further supported through modular static uninterruptible power supply systems, redundant electrical distribution architectures, and standby emergency generators equipped with extended onsite fuel storage. The campus is engineered to accommodate increasingly dense server environments exceeding 80 kW per rack, making advanced thermal management essential for efficient operation. Its cooling architecture incorporates closed-loop waterless cooling systems and direct-to-chip liquid cooling capabilities designed to efficiently manage heat from high-performance computing and AI infrastructure while reducing dependence on municipal water resources in Querétaro’s relatively arid climate. Strategically positioned within the central Querétaro technology corridor, the development benefits from access to established industrial, telecommunications, and logistics infrastructure. Carrier-neutral dark-fiber pathways are planned to provide resilient, low-latency connectivity to major Mexican internet exchanges, regional enterprise networks, cloud platforms, and cross-border fiber routes linking Mexico with North American digital infrastructure. Through its combination of substantial electrical capacity, resilient grid connectivity, high-density computing capabilities, advanced cooling systems, and strategic fiber infrastructure, CloudHQ QRO2 is positioned to support the continued growth of hyperscale cloud services and artificial intelligence infrastructure across Mexico and the broader Latin American market.
