Colt Data Centre Services’ Osaka AI Cloud Campus is a major hyperscale digital infrastructure hub serving the Kansai region, Japan’s second-largest data center market and a critical gateway for cloud and enterprise connectivity across Asia-Pacific. Comprising the operational 45 MW Keihanna facility together with the planned 130 MW Minoh expansion developed through a joint venture with ESR, the campus is designed to deliver approximately 175 MW of scalable critical IT capacity for global hyperscale cloud providers, over-the-top (OTT) content platforms, financial institutions, telecommunications operators, and enterprises deploying artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads. Purpose-built for next-generation computing environments, the campus incorporates advanced closed-loop cooling systems, high floor loading, and flexible electrical infrastructure capable of supporting high-density GPU deployments and liquid-cooling-ready AI clusters. Operating entirely on 100% certified renewable electricity, the campus aligns with customers’ sustainability objectives while maintaining exceptional operational resilience and energy efficiency. Built with highly redundant power and cooling infrastructure, it ensures continuous availability for mission-critical digital operations. As a carrier-neutral campus, it provides direct connectivity to Osaka’s major carrier exchanges, cloud availability zones, and transpacific subsea cable landing stations, enabling low-latency access to domestic and international digital ecosystems. Supported by advanced physical security, continuous infrastructure monitoring, and scalable expansion capabilities, the Osaka AI Cloud Campus serves as a future-ready platform for cloud growth, AI innovation, and sustainable digital transformation across Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
