Project Overview
CoreWeave Project Horizon is a flagship 2.0 GW AI hyperscale data center campus planned across approximately 568 acres in West Texas, representing a major purpose-built development designed to accommodate the rapidly expanding infrastructure requirements of advanced artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Developed in partnership with AI software company Poolside, the campus positions CoreWeave as the operational partner and primary anchor tenant under a 15-year master lease agreement, providing a long-term foundation for the deployment and expansion of large-scale AI computing capacity. Unlike conventional hyperscale facilities designed for a broad range of cloud workloads, Project Horizon is engineered specifically around the demanding power, cooling, networking, and compute requirements of large language model (LLM) training, AI inference, and autonomous AI agent execution. The initial deployment is planned to include more than 40,000 NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 architectures, creating an exceptionally dense computing environment capable of supporting advanced AI workloads at massive scale. The campus is designed for continuous expansion, allowing additional computing capacity to be deployed as demand for AI infrastructure increases. A key element of the development strategy is the use of off-site prefabricated, factory-integrated modules, enabling major portions of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure to be manufactured and assembled in controlled environments before being transported to the site. This modular approach can shorten construction timelines, improve deployment consistency, and support rapid capacity expansion across the campus. Project Horizon also incorporates behind-the-meter energy infrastructure, reducing reliance on conventional utility transmission systems and providing a dedicated power architecture for energy-intensive AI workloads. The combination of substantial planned power capacity, high-density NVIDIA accelerator deployments, modular construction, and dedicated energy infrastructure positions the project as a next-generation AI factory rather than a traditional data center. By integrating computing, power, cooling, and deployment systems around AI-specific requirements, CoreWeave Project Horizon represents the growing shift toward hyperscale facilities purpose-built to support the enormous computational demands of large-scale AI model development and deployment.
