CtrlS Kolkata: 60MW AI-Ready Data Center Hub in New Town
Status: Active / Phase 1 Live & Phase 2 Under Construction (Tracking June 2026) | Location: JF77+M28, Action Area IIE, Reckjoani, New Town, West Bengal 700161
Project Overview
The CtrlS Kolkata Data Center Campus, designated as the KOL-1 Facility, is a landmark digital infrastructure asset strategically positioned within Eastern India's premier technology enclave, the Bengal Silicon Valley IT Hub in New Town. Functioning as a critical gateway for regional data sovereignty and international fiber transit, this 60 MW campus represents a massive geographic milestone for CtrlS. It is specifically custom-built from the ground up to support high-performance cloud ecosystems, digital banking platforms, and advanced artificial intelligence inference arrays. Tracking dynamically through June 2026, the master-planned campus has successfully activated its first major operational block, delivering 16 MW of critical capacity across 1,137 highly secure racks. Simultaneously, heavy structural work is advancing on the remaining phases to scale the campus to its ultimate 60 MW facility load. By establishing a world-class, rated-4 certified footprint in Kolkata, the development completely sidesteps regional infrastructure speed-to-market boundaries. It provides global hyperscalers and domestic enterprises with direct access to a highly resilient, low-latency node connected straight into cross-border landing corridors and major domestic internet exchanges.
