CyrusOne AMS1: 54MW Hyperscale Amsterdam-Gateway Campus

Status: Live / Operational (Active AI-Density Modernization)   |   Location: Linieweg 1, 1165 AA Halfweg (Haarlemmerliede)

Project Overview

CyrusOne AMS1 is a premier, purpose-built hyperscale data center campus strategically positioned in Halfweg, situated inside the vital digital corridor between Amsterdam and Haarlem. Spanning 29,350 square meters of world-class technical space across two massive buildings, the 54MW campus is engineered to meet the stringent scalability requirements of global cloud providers, large-scale systems integrators, and multinational enterprises. The location is an exceptional network nexus; it sits directly along key long-haul international fiber routes, providing landing connections to the UK, Denmark, France, and the USA, while guaranteeing ultra-low latency entry into the Amsterdam metro network and the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX). Structurally, AMS1 utilizes a highly resilient, meshed IT power topology driven by a distributed redundant configuration and dedicated floor-by-floor plant rooms. To maximize operational sustainability in compliance with Dutch environmental policies, the facility uses 100% renewable energy, operates energy-efficient air-cooled chillers configured to a resilient chilled water ring, and actively champions ecological preservation through on-site bee colonies and native flora landscaping.
