Data4 Madrid MAD2 Data Center Campus: 80MW AI-Ready Hub

Status: Under Construction / Active Multi-Building Phase Buildout   |   Location: Polígono Industrial Sur, 28750 San Agustín del Guadalix, Madrid, Spain

Project Overview

Data4’s MAD2 Campus in San Agustín del Guadalix, Madrid, is a flagship 80 MW AI-ready digital infrastructure development designed to support the next generation of hyperscale computing, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing workloads in Spain. Located within the strategic Community of Madrid region, the campus spans approximately 6.7 hectares and is planned to include four purpose-built data center facilities with more than 16,000 m² of dedicated technical space. Engineered for advanced computing environments, MAD2 is designed to support extreme power density deployments exceeding 100 kW per rack, enabling intensive applications such as generative AI model training, machine learning, advanced analytics, and HPC workloads. The campus incorporates advanced Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) technologies to efficiently manage the thermal requirements of high-performance processors and next-generation GPU-based infrastructure. Powered by 100% renewable energy, MAD2 combines high-density computing capabilities with sustainable operational practices, helping customers reduce environmental impact while scaling digital workloads. Strategically positioned near Madrid’s growing technology ecosystem, the campus serves as a critical edge and hyperscale connectivity hub linking the Iberian Peninsula with major European FLAP-D markets and North African fiber routes. With its scalable design, renewable energy foundation, advanced cooling systems, and strategic connectivity advantages, Data4 MAD2 strengthens Madrid’s position as a key digital infrastructure destination and supports the rapidly expanding demand for AI-driven computing capacity across Europe.
