Digital Realty Vienna Data Center Campus: 32MW CEE Interconnection Hub

Status: Operational / Active Expansion   |   Location: Louis-Häfliger-Gasse 10 (VIE1 & VIE2) & Siemensstraße 91 (VIE3), 1210 Vienna, Austria

Project Overview

Digital Realty’s Vienna Campus, comprising the VIE1, VIE2, and VIE3 data centers, is one of Central Europe’s leading carrier-neutral digital infrastructure hubs, strategically positioned in Vienna’s 21st district (Floridsdorf). Serving as a critical connectivity gateway between Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), and South-Eastern European markets, the campus delivers approximately 32 MW of total utility power across more than 49,000 m² of purpose-built data center space. Designed to support enterprise, cloud, hyperscale, and network service providers, the campus offers highly resilient colocation infrastructure with scalable power, advanced cooling systems, and comprehensive physical and operational security. A key advantage of the Vienna Campus is its direct physical connection to the Vienna Internet Exchange (VIX), one of the region’s most important internet exchange points, enabling ultra-low latency connectivity and efficient traffic routing across Europe. The campus also hosts more than 135 network carriers, cloud providers, and digital service providers, creating a rich carrier-neutral ecosystem that supports hybrid cloud deployments, content delivery, disaster recovery, and mission-critical business applications. Its strategic geographic location makes it an ideal interconnection point for organizations expanding across European markets while maintaining reliable, low-latency connectivity. With enterprise-grade infrastructure, extensive network diversity, and access to one of Europe’s most connected digital ecosystems, Digital Realty’s Vienna Campus plays a vital role in strengthening regional digital transformation and supporting the growing demand for high-performance data center services across the CEE region.
