Status: In Planning | Location: Former Fort Gillem Site, Forest Park, Georgia 30297, USA
Digital Realty Fort Gillem ATL15 is a planned US$3 billion hyperscale AI data center campus located on a 97-acre site within the former Fort Gillem U.S. Army installation in Forest Park, Clayton County, Georgia, United States. Situated approximately nine miles south of downtown Atlanta, the development represents a major expansion of Digital Realty's infrastructure in the Greater Atlanta market. The proposed campus encompasses approximately 1.9 million square feet of multi-story technical space across two main facilities, designed to accommodate the growing computing requirements of artificial intelligence, hyperscale cloud platforms and enterprise digital services. Its infrastructure is intended to support high-density AI acceleration workloads, including GPU-intensive processing, machine learning and large-scale model training. The development also targets sovereign computing requirements and enterprise cloud applications that demand secure, reliable and scalable data center environments. The 97-acre former military property provides a substantial brownfield redevelopment opportunity, transforming an established government and industrial site into a modern digital infrastructure destination. Its location within the Atlanta metropolitan area offers access to a growing technology ecosystem, telecommunications networks, enterprise customers and regional connectivity infrastructure. Atlanta's position as a major commercial and telecommunications center makes it an important market for data center operators serving businesses across the southeastern United States. The project's multi-building configuration is designed to provide significant technical capacity while supporting the infrastructure requirements of high-performance computing. Through ATL15, Digital Realty is strengthening its presence in Georgia and responding to rising demand for AI-ready hyperscale capacity. If delivered as proposed, the campus could become a major addition to the Southeast's digital infrastructure landscape, supporting the continued expansion of AI, cloud computing and enterprise technology services.
