Digital Realty FRA11 Frankfurt: 9MW Digital Park Ostend Hub
Status: Operational | Location: Weismüllerstraße 40, 60314 Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Project Overview
Digital Realty’s FRA11 is a strategically important 9.0 MW enterprise colocation facility located within Digital Park Ostend, one of Germany’s most established and highly interconnected data center campuses in eastern Frankfurt am Main. Covering approximately 52,000 square feet (4,800 m²), the facility is purpose-built to support enterprise IT environments, cloud platforms, financial services, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and other mission-critical digital transformation workloads requiring secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure. FRA11 is designed with a highly reliable 2N static UPS power architecture, ensuring continuous power availability through complete redundancy, while its N+1 closed-loop air conditioning and chilled water cooling systems provide efficient thermal management for high-density rack deployments. The facility is engineered to deliver high availability, operational efficiency, and flexibility for organizations with demanding performance and uptime requirements. Positioned along major regional and international carrier routes, FRA11 offers low-latency connectivity to DE-CIX, the world's largest Internet Exchange by traffic, enabling direct access to a broad ecosystem of network providers, cloud platforms, internet service providers, and enterprise partners. Through Digital Realty’s ServiceFabric™ orchestration platform, customers can establish secure, on-demand interconnections across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, simplifying digital infrastructure deployment. Demonstrating Digital Realty’s commitment to sustainability, FRA11 operates entirely on 100% renewable electricity backed by European Guarantees of Origin (GoO), helping customers reduce carbon emissions while maintaining high-performance, energy-efficient colocation services in one of Europe’s most important digital infrastructure markets.
