Digital Realty PAR12 Paris: 20MW High-Density AI & Connectivity Hub

Status: Operational / High-Density Optimized (April 2026)   |   Location: 16 Avenue Joseph Froelicher, 77600 Ferrières-en-Brie, France

Project Overview

As of April 2026, PAR12 continues to play a pivotal role in Digital Realty’s award-winning Paris campus, positioned approximately 30 km east of central Paris as a strategically engineered high-performance node for the broader Île-de-France digital economy. Designed for high-density computing environments, the facility supports advanced power configurations that accommodate modern GPU-heavy AI training clusters, large-scale analytics platforms, and mission-critical enterprise workloads. Its architecture emphasizes scalability and resilience, with modular expansion paths that allow tenants to increase capacity without disrupting live production systems. PAR12 is also a key element of a seven-site metropolitan “ring” interconnection model, linked via dedicated dark fiber that enables active-active and active-passive disaster recovery between campuses. This topology ensures ultra-low recovery times and near-continuous availability for regulated industries such as banking, insurance, and cloud service providers.
Connectivity is a defining strength of PAR12. The site hosts a dense ecosystem of more than 90 carriers and ISPs, along with direct integration into France-IX, France’s largest internet exchange platform, enabling high-throughput peering and optimized international traffic routing. This makes PAR12 a critical aggregation point for both domestic French traffic and cross-border European flows. Combined with its high power density capabilities, carrier diversity, and metro-ring resilience, the facility functions as a strategic gateway for hyperscalers and global financial institutions seeking low-latency access to European markets while maintaining robust redundancy and energy-efficient operations across distributed workloads.
