Project Overview
The Digital Edge EEC Hyperscale Campus is a significant landmark project resulting from a strategic joint venture between Digital Edge, a major pan-Asian data center platform, and B. Grimm Power, one of Thailand's largest private power producers. This collaboration is a direct response to the surge in demand from global hyperscale cloud providers and the accelerating adoption of AI workloads across Southeast Asia.
The flagship project is a 100 MW greenfield facility located in Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), approximately 100 kilometers from Bangkok. The EEC has been designated by the Thai government as a primary zone for digital and technological investment, offering substantial incentives to attract projects of this scale. The estimated total investment for this 100MW facility is around US$1 billion. The campus is explicitly designed to be AI-ready, featuring infrastructure that supports high-density power consumption and incorporating the capability for liquid-cooling systems—essential for efficiently managing the heat generated by the latest generations of AI processors and accelerated computing.
The strategic importance of the partnership with B. Grimm Power cannot be overstated. By combining Digital Edge's cutting-edge data center design and operational expertise with B. Grimm's deep experience in power generation, land bank management, and sustainable energy solutions, the project secures a reliable and scalable power supply. The facility is committed to being powered by sustainable energy, leveraging B. Grimm's robust portfolio of renewable energy assets. With a target Ready for Service (RFS) date in Q4 2026, this campus is poised to become a vital anchor for global tech players, solidifying Thailand's ambition to transform into a key regional AI and cloud innovation hub and a major destination for sovereign AI initiatives. The success of this project is expected to pave the way for an additional 200 MW of capacity, demonstrating the long-term commitment to high-growth, high-capacity digital infrastructure in the region.
