Project Overview
EcoDataCenter’s Stockholm Hyperscale Campus is a flagship sustainable data center development designed to support the growing demands of international hyperscale cloud providers, artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), enterprise platforms, and data-intensive digital services. Constructed using a combination of sustainable cross-laminated timber (CLT) framing and reinforced structural concrete, the campus demonstrates a strong commitment to environmentally responsible infrastructure while maintaining the durability and resilience required for mission-critical operations. Powered entirely by Sweden’s 100% renewable electricity grid, the facility significantly reduces carbon emissions and supports customers pursuing ambitious sustainability and ESG objectives. Engineered with an ultra-low target Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of less than 1.15, the campus utilizes advanced free-cooling technologies that take advantage of Sweden’s naturally cool climate to maximize energy efficiency and minimize mechanical cooling requirements. The infrastructure is also designed with liquid cooling readiness to accommodate high-density GPU clusters used for AI training, machine learning, and next-generation compute workloads. Waste heat generated by the facility is captured and exported to local municipal district heating networks, transforming excess energy into a valuable community resource and contributing to a net climate-positive operational footprint.
