EdgeConneX Cedar Creek Campus 240MW Data Center

Status: Under Construction / Master Development   |   Location: 8001 Wolf Ln / 6682 FM535, Cedar Creek, TX 78612, USA

Project Overview

The EdgeConneX Cedar Creek Campus, located at 8001 Wolf Lane and 6682 FM535 in Cedar Creek, Texas, represents a major hyperscale data center development serving the rapidly expanding Greater Austin technology corridor. Spanning approximately 180 acres, the campus is engineered to support up to 240 megawatts of critical IT capacity across multiple high-density facilities, including AUS01, AUS02, EDCAUS11, and EDCAUS12. Collectively encompassing more than 920,000 square feet of multi-story hardened concrete infrastructure, the development is designed to accommodate advanced cloud computing, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and other demanding digital workloads. Utility power is supplied through dedicated high-voltage substation infrastructure integrated with the Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative network and the broader ERCOT power grid, providing substantial electrical capacity for large-scale operations. Concurrently maintainable N+1 uninterruptible power supply systems provide resilient backup protection, while dedicated standby diesel emergency generators equipped with multi-day fuel reserves support continuity during extended utility disruptions. The campus is engineered with liquid-cooling readiness for high-density computing environments, including deployments exceeding 100 kilowatts per rack. Closed-loop, water-free cooling systems help manage the substantial thermal loads generated by advanced AI and accelerated computing equipment while minimizing water consumption and supporting efficient facility operations. Its strategic location near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport also provides access to important transportation, telecommunications, and technology infrastructure. As a regional interconnection gateway, EdgeConneX Cedar Creek features diverse subterranean dark fiber pathways that provide resilient connectivity to major cloud providers, telecommunications carriers, regional carrier hotels, and broader network ecosystems. By combining large-scale land availability, significant power capacity, liquid-cooling readiness, resilient electrical infrastructure, and extensive fiber connectivity, the Cedar Creek campus is positioned as a major digital infrastructure hub supporting the continued growth of hyperscale cloud and AI workloads throughout the Austin and Central Texas markets.
