Project Overview

The EdgeConneX Portland – EDCPOR01 Data Center is a purpose-built edge colocation facility operated by EdgeConneX at 6327 NW Evergreen Pkwy, Building C, Suite C-300 in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA. Located within Hillsboro’s established “Silicon Forest” technology corridor, EDCPOR01 serves as an important component of EdgeConneX’s regional edge infrastructure and operates alongside the company’s EDCPOR02 facility to provide customers with scalable, low-latency digital infrastructure. The facility spans approximately 39,400 square feet, including around 18,700 square feet of raised-floor white space, and provides approximately 3.0 MW of critical IT load capacity. Its design is intended to accommodate enterprise, network, cloud, content delivery, and other distributed computing workloads that require reliable infrastructure positioned close to end users and regional network ecosystems. EDCPOR01 supports high-density deployments of more than 20 kW per cabinet, enabling customers to accommodate increasingly demanding computing equipment, including accelerated computing and data-intensive applications. The facility’s location in Hillsboro provides access to a mature ecosystem of telecommunications carriers, fiber networks, cloud providers, and major data center operators, creating extensive opportunities for interconnection and network diversity. As a carrier-neutral facility, EDCPOR01 is designed to give customers flexibility in selecting connectivity providers and establishing connections to regional networks and cloud platforms. The site benefits from electricity supplied through Portland General Electric, connecting its operations to Oregon’s broader renewable energy ecosystem and significant hydroelectric generation resources. Its strategic position in the Pacific Northwest also provides access to network routes serving major regional markets and trans-Pacific connectivity infrastructure, supporting low-latency communication between North American networks and international destinations. The facility is particularly suited to organizations requiring distributed infrastructure for cloud services, enterprise applications, content delivery networks, telecommunications, and edge computing.
