Project Overview

The EdgeConneX Portland – EDCPOR02 Data Center is a purpose-built edge colocation facility operated by EdgeConneX at 6297 NE Evergreen Pkwy in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA. Positioned adjacent to the company’s EDCPOR01 facility within EdgeConneX’s Hillsboro edge campus, EDCPOR02 forms part of the broader “Silicon Forest” digital infrastructure ecosystem and was developed to address growing demand for high-density, low-latency computing capacity in the Pacific Northwest. The facility spans approximately 30,000 square feet and provides around 6.0 MW of critical IT load capacity, giving enterprises, cloud providers, content platforms, and network operators access to scalable infrastructure close to major regional connectivity routes. EDCPOR02 is designed to support high-density deployments exceeding 20 kW per rack, making the facility suitable for demanding enterprise applications, cloud workloads, edge computing, content delivery, and increasingly compute-intensive technologies. Its location in Hillsboro provides access to an extensive network of telecommunications carriers, fiber providers, cloud platforms, and neighboring data center campuses, creating opportunities for efficient interconnection and network diversity. The facility incorporates dual diverse fiber entries, providing additional network resilience and supporting connectivity requirements for customers operating mission-critical applications. EDCPOR02 also benefits from electricity supplied through Portland General Electric, connecting the facility to Oregon’s broader renewable energy ecosystem and substantial hydroelectric generation resources. Its strategic position within the Pacific Northwest provides access to regional network exchanges and long-distance fiber routes, while connectivity toward trans-Pacific subsea cable infrastructure supports communication between North American networks and international markets across the Pacific.
