Project Overview
Elea SPO2 is a strategically located hyperscale and AI-ready data center situated on the redeveloped site of a former automotive manufacturing campus in São Bernardo do Campo, approximately 30 kilometers from central São Paulo, Brazil. Operated by Elea Data Centers, the facility currently delivers 5 MW of active IT capacity while being master-planned for expansion to as much as 100 MW, providing a highly scalable platform for the growing demands of hyperscale cloud providers, artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), enterprise colocation, and mission-critical digital infrastructure. The campus benefits from extensive high-voltage electrical infrastructure inherited from the industrial site, enabling efficient large-scale power delivery and supporting future expansion phases without significant utility constraints. Engineered to meet the requirements of next-generation compute-intensive workloads, SPO2 is designed to accommodate high-density rack deployments, advanced cooling technologies, and resilient electrical and mechanical systems that ensure continuous availability for critical business operations. The facility also offers low-latency, carrier-neutral connectivity with access to major metropolitan fiber routes and direct connectivity to international subsea cable systems, providing fast and resilient communications across Brazil, Latin America, North America, and global markets.
