Project Overview

Enovum Data Centers MTL01 is a 40,000 sq ft high-density colocation and high-performance computing (HPC) facility located at 3195 Chemin Bedford in central Montreal, Quebec, engineered to support demanding AI, machine learning, and enterprise cloud workloads. Acquired by Bit Digital in October 2024 as part of its acquisition of Enovum Data Centers, MTL01 serves as a flagship facility within the portfolio, combining high-density compute infrastructure with advanced cooling and connectivity capabilities. The facility operates on 100% clean hydroelectric power supplied by Hydro-Québec, providing an electricity source aligned with lower-carbon data center operations while supporting the substantial power requirements of intensive computing environments. Its advanced direct-to-chip liquid cooling integration is designed to efficiently manage heat generated by high-performance processors and accelerators, enabling deployments that exceed the practical density limits of conventional air-cooled infrastructure. MTL01 offers customizable high-density cabinet configurations supporting up to 150 kW per rack, making the facility suitable for AI training, machine learning, HPC, and other compute-intensive applications with exceptionally high power requirements. N+1 power and cooling redundancy provides additional infrastructure capacity for maintenance and component failures, supporting operational resilience for critical workloads. Direct carrier-neutral interconnectivity gives customers network access without dependence on a single carrier, supporting connectivity across enterprise, cloud, and digital infrastructure environments. Located in central Montreal, the facility benefits from the city’s established power and telecommunications ecosystem while positioning high-density compute resources close to regional customers and network infrastructure. By combining clean hydroelectric power, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, 150 kW-per-rack capability, redundant power and cooling systems, and carrier-neutral connectivity, MTL01 provides a specialized platform for the rapidly increasing requirements of AI, HPC, and high-density enterprise computing.
