Equinix LD11x Expansion: London Slough Hyperscale xScale Hub

Status: Operational / Fully Energized Phase Expansion   |   Location: 765/767 Henley Road, Slough Trading Estate, Slough, SL1 4JW, United Kingdom

Project Overview

Equinix LD11x is a specialized three-story hyperscale data center located within the Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire, United Kingdom, one of Europe’s most important cloud and digital infrastructure hubs. Developed as part of Equinix’s European xScale joint venture with Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC, the facility is purpose-built to meet the expanding infrastructure needs of hyperscale cloud service providers and enterprise customers. LD11x delivers approximately 19 MW of critical IT capacity across more than 68,500 square feet of gross colocation space, providing a highly scalable environment for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing workloads. The data center is engineered to support high-density deployments required by major cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), as well as enterprise AI training and inference applications. A key advantage of LD11x is its direct fiber integration with Equinix’s established Slough International Business Exchange (IBX) campus, including the LD4, LD5, LD6, LD7, and LD10 facilities, enabling low-latency interconnection across a rich ecosystem of carriers, cloud providers, enterprises, and network service providers. As part of Equinix’s global carrier-neutral platform, the facility offers secure, high-speed connectivity, operational resilience, and scalable digital infrastructure for mission-critical workloads. By combining hyperscale capacity, advanced interconnection capabilities, and AI-ready infrastructure, Equinix LD11x further strengthens the Slough campus as one of Europe’s premier locations for cloud computing and next-generation digital services.
