Project Overview
Equinix SV12x is a two-story, high-density hyperscale data center located within Equinix’s flagship Great Oaks South Campus in San Jose, California, one of the world’s most important digital infrastructure and technology hubs. Developed through a joint venture with PGIM Real Estate, the facility is purpose-built to support the growing requirements of hyperscale cloud providers, enterprise customers, and artificial intelligence applications. SV12x delivers approximately 28 MW of critical IT capacity across 113,000 gross square feet (10,498 m²), providing a scalable and energy-efficient environment for next-generation digital workloads. The data center is engineered to accommodate high-density computing infrastructure, making it suitable for AI training, machine learning, cloud services, and high-performance computing (HPC) deployments. As part of Equinix’s Great Oaks South Campus, SV12x benefits from direct integration with the company’s extensive Silicon Valley International Business Exchange (IBX) ecosystem through low-latency fiber connectivity. This enables customers to establish secure, high-speed connections with major cloud platforms, network providers, enterprises, and digital service providers while reducing latency for mission-critical applications. The facility also provides access to Equinix’s carrier-neutral interconnection platform, allowing seamless connectivity across multiple networks and cloud environments. By combining hyperscale capacity, advanced connectivity, and AI-ready infrastructure within Silicon Valley’s leading digital ecosystem, Equinix SV12x strengthens the region’s role as a global center for cloud computing, enterprise digital transformation, and next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure.
