Status: Active Development & Multi-Building Campus Construction | Location: Greater Salt Lake City Metro / Utah Data Center Corridor, Utah, USA
Vantage Data Centers is developing a large-scale hyperscale campus in the Salt Lake City region to support the growing demand for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and enterprise machine learning infrastructure. Designed as a next-generation digital infrastructure hub, the campus is engineered to accommodate high-density computing environments capable of supporting advanced GPU clusters, large language model (LLM) training, and other compute-intensive AI applications. The development follows Vantage Data Centers’ standardized North American modular design, enabling rapid deployment, operational consistency, and scalable expansion as customer requirements grow. The facility is designed to deliver power densities of up to 300 watts per square foot, providing the flexibility needed for modern hyperscale cloud platforms and AI workloads. To efficiently manage the thermal demands of high-performance computing, the campus incorporates adaptive cooling technologies that support high-power GPU deployments while maintaining reliable performance and energy efficiency. Power is supplied through high-voltage utility connections from Rocky Mountain Power, ensuring a resilient and scalable electrical infrastructure for future growth. Sustainability is also a key component of the project, with the campus utilizing water-neutral closed-loop cooling architectures that significantly reduce local water consumption while maintaining efficient cooling performance. By combining scalable power infrastructure, AI-ready cooling technologies, modular construction, and sustainable operations, Vantage’s Salt Lake City campus is positioned to become a major digital infrastructure hub supporting next-generation cloud and artificial intelligence workloads in the western United States.
