QTS Dallas Data Center Expansion: 300MW Texas Hyperscale Hub

Status: Active Operation & Multi-Phase Campus Construction   |   Location: Multi-site DFW footprint: 6431 Longhorn Dr, Irving, TX 75063 & 303 Mason Rd, Wilmer, TX 75172, USA

Project Overview

QTS Data Centers is undertaking a major regional expansion across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, reinforcing its position as one of the largest hyperscale digital infrastructure providers in Texas. The expansion is anchored by the company’s established Irving data center, which delivers approximately 140 MW of capacity across more than 700,000 square feet of space, and is complemented by the development of the new South Dallas Mega-Campus in Wilmer. Together, these multi-building campuses are designed to meet the rapidly increasing demand for hyperscale cloud services, enterprise workloads, and next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure. The expansion adds more than 1.4 million square feet of new technical space, providing scalable capacity for hyperscale cloud providers and large-scale AI deployments. Engineered to support GPU-dense computing environments, the facilities incorporate advanced direct liquid cooling (DLC) technologies that efficiently manage the thermal demands of high-performance AI servers and next-generation accelerators. Reliable electrical infrastructure is provided through high-voltage utility interconnections with Oncor Electric Delivery, enabling long-term power scalability for future expansion phases. The campuses also benefit from extensive low-latency, carrier-neutral fiber connectivity across major Texas network corridors, ensuring fast access to cloud platforms, enterprises, and internet exchange points. By combining large-scale power infrastructure, AI-ready cooling technologies, and strategic connectivity, QTS’s Dallas–Fort Worth expansion is positioned to support the growing demand for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance digital infrastructure across North America.
