Status: Under Construction | Location: Rue du Corindon, 93300 Aubervilliers, Paris, France
The Equinix PA14 Paris IBX Data Center is a purpose-built International Business Exchange facility under development on Rue du Corindon in Aubervilliers, within the Seine-Saint-Denis department of the Paris metropolitan area, France. Developed and operated by Equinix, Inc., the project expands the company’s Paris data center footprint alongside its existing facilities in Aubervilliers and Saint-Denis. With 4,961 square meters of planned building space and a total capacity of 1,425 cabinets, PA14 represents an initial Phase 1 capital investment of $133 million. The facility is designed to serve enterprise customers, global cloud providers, and telecommunications operators requiring secure colocation and scalable digital infrastructure.
PA14 is being developed to support carrier-neutral colocation, hybrid multicloud connectivity, and AI-ready computing environments. Its planned deployment in two phases will introduce 825 cabinets in Phase 1, targeted for commercial go-live in Q1 2027, followed by a further 600 cabinets in Phase 2, scheduled for Q2 2028. High-density fiber cross-connects and integration with Equinix Fabric are intended to enable software-defined connections between participating cloud platforms, network providers, and enterprise systems. This interconnection environment can help customers manage distributed workloads and establish flexible cloud architectures while maintaining access to the wider Paris digital ecosystem. The facility also incorporates energy-efficient cooling technology and operates under stated contracts for 100% renewable energy coverage, aligning its development with Equinix’s environmental objectives and European sustainability requirements.
Aubervilliers’ position within the Paris metropolitan area places PA14 close to a major concentration of enterprise activity, telecommunications infrastructure, and digital services. The facility’s planned capacity can provide additional options for organizations migrating workloads to the cloud, deploying AI applications, and connecting infrastructure across multiple networks. Its role in supporting French data sovereignty will depend on customer deployments and applicable data-handling arrangements. As construction progresses, the phased rollout is intended to align capacity delivery with operational readiness and demand. Overall, Equinix PA14 represents a significant planned addition to the Paris IBX network, combining scalable colocation, cloud interconnection, and sustainability measures to support France’s expanding digital infrastructure requirements.
