Project Overview

Equinix Queretaro Campus, comprising the MX1 and MX2 International Business Exchange data centers, is an operational carrier-neutral interconnection campus located at Parque Tecnológico Innovación, Lte 79/80, in El Marqués, Querétaro. The campus forms an important digital infrastructure hub within Querétaro's expanding data center ecosystem and provides colocation, interconnection, cloud connectivity, and network services for enterprises, cloud providers, financial institutions, and digital content companies. Originally acquired from Axtel and subsequently expanded by Equinix, the multi-building campus covers more than 100,000 square feet of gross whitespace and provides approximately 12 MW of combined IT load capability. Its carrier-neutral architecture allows customers to connect with multiple telecommunications providers, cloud platforms, network operators, and digital service providers within the same facility environment. The campus also provides direct cloud on-ramps to major platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, enabling enterprises to establish private and low-latency connectivity to public cloud infrastructure. Equinix Fabric further supports virtual connections between businesses, cloud services, networks, and other digital ecosystems, while internet exchange and peering capabilities facilitate efficient traffic exchange across interconnected networks. The campus serves customers operating across Mexico and provides connectivity pathways supporting broader Central American and international digital networks. Its location in El Marqués places the facilities within a major technology and industrial corridor, providing access to established power, telecommunications, transportation, and business infrastructure.
