EXA Mareuil sur Ay
Status: Active / Fully Operational Core Network & Colocation Node | Location: Mareuil-sur-Ay (Marne)
Project Overview
Seamlessly woven into one of Europe’s largest privately owned backbone networks, the EXA Mareuil-sur-Ay facility serves as a strategically important colocation, amplification, and connectivity hub within EXA Infrastructure’s extensive long-haul fiber ecosystem. Unlike conventional real estate-focused data centers that prioritize commercial space availability, this highly specialized facility is purpose-built directly along EXA’s major dark fiber routes crossing France and connecting key European markets. Located within the ZI Le Cheminet industrial zone, the site performs a critical operational role in maintaining the integrity, speed, and reliability of trans-European digital traffic flows. As a secure and continuously monitored optical amplification station, the facility ensures minimal signal degradation and uninterrupted performance for high-capacity international data transmission across Western Europe. In addition to its network amplification capabilities, the site also functions as a low-latency edge data center designed to support modern digital infrastructure demands. It provides wholesale carriers, telecom operators, cloud providers, content delivery networks, and hyperscalers with secure rack space, resilient power infrastructure, and direct access to EXA’s high-capacity backbone network. Its strategic positioning enables rapid interconnection with major European internet exchanges and metropolitan markets, making the facility an essential component in supporting scalable cloud services, enterprise connectivity, and next-generation digital communications infrastructure across the region.
