Status: Under Construction / Pre-Leased | Location: 8-14 Sha Tsui Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong
The Goodman HKG10 Data Centre, located at 8–14 Sha Tsui Road in the Tsuen Wan availability zone of Hong Kong, represents a major high-density digital infrastructure redevelopment undertaken by Goodman Group as part of its broader multi-facility data center expansion strategy in the territory. The project transforms an established industrial property into a modern hyperscale-ready computing facility designed to accommodate demanding cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence inference, enterprise applications, and other data-intensive workloads. The multi-story facility is described as having a primary utility allocation of 55 MVA and approximately 32 megawatts of critical IT capacity, providing substantial room for high-density server deployments and advanced computing infrastructure. Its structural design incorporates heavy steel reinforcement and raised access flooring to support the weight and operational requirements of dense equipment configurations, while modular electrical distribution systems provide resilient power delivery. N+1 and 2N static uninterruptible power supply architectures are complemented by standby diesel emergency generation systems, providing additional protection against utility disruptions and supporting continuous operation of critical computing equipment. Thermal management is based on high-efficiency water-cooled chilled-water loops designed to support high-density server racks while maintaining operational stability. The cooling infrastructure is also designed with readiness for direct-to-chip liquid cooling, allowing the facility to accommodate future increases in processor and rack thermal densities driven by AI workloads. Strategically positioned within the Western New Territories digital corridor, HKG10 benefits from Hong Kong’s extensive telecommunications and international connectivity ecosystem. Subterranean dark-fiber entry vaults and dual carrier-neutral meet-me rooms provide diverse pathways for connecting customers with telecommunications carriers, cloud platforms, internet exchanges, and enterprise networks. Direct connectivity to subsea cable gateways further strengthens the facility’s role as a regional digital connectivity node. Zero-trust physical security principles and biometric access controls provide additional protection for critical infrastructure and customer environments. With resilient power systems, advanced cooling, high-density IT capacity, extensive network connectivity, and robust security architecture, Goodman HKG10 is positioned to support Hong Kong’s growing hyperscale cloud and AI infrastructure requirements.
