Project Overview
The newly announced Strategic Joint Venture between HITC (HTC International Telecommunication JSC) and Evolution Data Centres is a significant investment aimed at transforming Vietnam's digital landscape. Announced today, December 9, 2025, the partnership is set to deliver large-scale, AI and hyperscale data centers in Vietnam's two major economic centers: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. This addresses the exponential demand for digital infrastructure in Vietnam, which currently boasts Southeast Asia's fastest-growing digital economy.
The joint venture combines Evolution's international expertise in developing and operating hyperscale facilities with HITC's deep local presence and robust telecommunications infrastructure. This synergy is crucial for building reliable, high-performance, and scalable digital infrastructure tailored to the needs of global cloud providers and domestic enterprises.
The focus is immediately placed on two flagship projects:
Ho Chi Minh City Development: A brand new, large-scale hyperscale data center specifically designed to meet the surging demand for cloud services and power-intensive AI workloads in Southern Vietnam.
EcoDC Data Centre (Hanoi): An expansion of HITC's existing facility in the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, which is already recognised as the first data center in Vietnam to achieve Uptime Tier III certification for both design and construction.
A core tenet of the joint venture is sustainability. The partners are committed to designing and operating facilities that minimise environmental impact by applying modern energy-saving technologies and strategically leveraging Vietnam's growing renewable energy resources.
