Status: Operational / Active Business Continuity & Data Center Facility | Location: 9300 Route Transcanadienne, Saint-Laurent, QC H4S 1K5, Canada
Hypertec BCDR Center is a 100,000 sq ft Tier III enterprise data center and disaster recovery facility located at 9300 Route Transcanadienne in Saint-Laurent, Quebec. Situated on Hypertec’s main corporate campus within Montreal’s West Island technology corridor, the facility provides infrastructure for high-density colocation, business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR), high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence workloads. The center offers up to 16 MW of total utility power, supporting demanding enterprise and technology deployments that require scalable capacity, resilient operations, and sustained performance. Its liquid-cooling capabilities include compatibility with direct-to-chip and immersion cooling technologies, allowing customers to deploy high-density computing environments while addressing the thermal requirements of HPC and AI systems. The facility is supported by N+1 CPS emergency generator backup, providing additional resilience during utility power interruptions and supporting continuity for critical workloads. Network connectivity is reinforced through redundant dark fiber conduits carrying more than 14 network providers, enabling diverse connectivity options for enterprises, carriers, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery environments. This network design supports reliable data replication, low-latency communications, and geographically distributed business continuity strategies. Hypertec BCDR Center is powered by 100% clean hydroelectric electricity supplied by Hydro-Québec, supporting lower-carbon data center operations and sustainability objectives. Its location in Saint-Laurent provides access to Montreal’s established telecommunications, technology, and enterprise ecosystem. Combining Tier III infrastructure, high utility power availability, liquid-cooling readiness, generator redundancy, diverse dark fiber connectivity, and clean hydroelectric power, Hypertec BCDR Center serves as a strategic platform for organizations requiring resilient, high-density, and performance-focused digital infrastructure.
