Iron Mountain LON-2 London Slough: 27MW Hyperscale Data Center

Status: Operational / Fully Commissioned Wholesale Facility   |   Location: 110 Buckingham Avenue, Slough Trading Estate, Slough SL1 4PF, United Kingdom

Project Overview

Iron Mountain’s LON-2 is a flagship 27 MW, three-story greenfield data center strategically located on Buckingham Avenue within the renowned Slough Trading Estate, Europe’s leading data center and connectivity hub. Purpose-built to accommodate large-scale wholesale hyperscale deployments and high-density enterprise workloads, the facility delivers approximately 9 MW of customer IT capacity per floor, offering exceptional scalability for cloud providers, AI infrastructure, financial institutions, and global enterprises. As a key component of Iron Mountain’s interconnected London campus alongside LON-1 and LON-3, LON-2 enables customers to expand seamlessly while benefiting from a resilient, carrier-neutral ecosystem. The facility provides ultra-low-latency connectivity to the London Internet Exchange (LINX), direct access to more than 15 on-site Network Service Providers (NSPs), and dual diverse dark-fiber cross-connects to over 200 network operators, cloud providers, and internet exchanges, ensuring high availability and reliable performance for mission-critical applications. Designed with modern power and cooling infrastructure, LON-2 supports high-density computing environments required for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability. Sustainability is central to the facility’s operations, with electricity matched by 100% renewable energy, helping customers reduce their environmental impact and meet corporate sustainability goals. Backed by Iron Mountain’s industry-leading physical security, operational expertise, and resilient infrastructure, LON-2 provides a future-ready colocation platform for organisations seeking secure, scalable, and highly connected digital infrastructure in one of Europe’s most important data center markets.
